You're Getting Enough Sleep. So Why Are You Still So Tired?

If that question hit close to home, you're not imagining it, and you're definitely not alone.

Most of us have been taught that rest equals sleep. Clock enough hours, wake up restored. But for a lot of high-functioning people, that equation just isn't adding up. You're sleeping. You're still exhausted. And somewhere in the back of your mind, you're wondering what you're missing.

Turns out, quite a bit.

In our July webinar, Recharge to Perform: The 7 Types of Rest Most People Miss, we introduced Dr. Saundra Dalton-Smith's research-backed framework that reframes rest as something far more multidimensional than a good night's sleep. There are actually seven distinct types of rest your mind and body need — Physical, Mental, Sensory, Creative, Emotional, Social, and Spiritual — and most people are running on empty in at least three or four of them without realizing it.

We also busted a few myths that might surprise you. (Sleeping in on weekends to "catch up"? It's actually making things worse. Pushing through on low sleep because you feel fine? Research shows your performance is declining — you just can't tell.)

Attendees left with a completed Rest Deficit Audit and a personalized Rest Prescription targeting their specific gaps. Not a general wellness plan. An actual, concrete action tied to what their nervous system is missing most.

If any of this is landing — the replay is ready and waiting.
