Product Update for Q3 2025

We’re excited to share fresh tools and polish across the Tava platform, designed to save our providers time on admin work, increase scheduling flexibility, and help providers find more clients.

Here’s what’s new!

Flexible Scheduling

Delivering great care often requires nuance. Our new scheduler allows providers to shape sessions around clinical need and spend less time fighting one-size-fits-all calendars.

  • 15-minute increments. Book sessions and block away time on the quarter hour, half hour, or full hour to reduce calendar gaps.
  • Custom durations (30–180 minutes). Choose session lengths that fit care plans: 30, 45, 50 - up to 180 minutes.

Time Management & Time-Zone Reliability

Scheduling should feel predictable everywhere you work. We tightened the link between what you see on the calendar across variable time zones.

  • Regular Hours alignment. Calendar selections now automatically match to the correct time zones for you and your client.
  • Accurate time-zone context. Away and Busy time blocks respect the calendar’s current time zone.
  • Smarter defaults. Away and Extra time pre-fills sessions to +1 hour on the same day for quicker scheduling.

Provider Pages That Rank

We refined how search engines index Tava provider websites. Now, Tava providers are appearing at the top of Google searches for relevant terms. This update allows more qualified prospective clients to discover Tava providers organically, without extra marketing lift.

Provider-Managed Clients

For practices that need full control, this update unlocks a more flexible client model while preserving Tava’s documentation and billing rigor. Providers can now match the onboarding model to each client’s circumstances, without breaking standard operational flow.

  • Full customization. A streamlined Client Profile lets you edit all fields on the client record.
  • Two experiences to choose from:
    • Full Access Clients: Clients create a Tava account, complete onboarding, self-schedule, manage payments, message providers, and use mental health resources from our library.
    • Limited Access Clients: Providers manage onboarding independently to avoid duplicate intakes and maintain existing communication flows.

Design System Upgrades

We refreshed our design across both provider and client experiences to be clearer, more spacious, and more accessible. This allows for faster and more consistent data entry and a sharper, more trustworthy feel for clients.

Email Preference Center

Your inbox should work for you. Now providers can fine-tune appointment reminders and keep the essentials. Choose a reminder cadence including 24 hours, 1 hour, or 15 minutes before a session. You’ll always receive a notification when a new session is booked.

Clearer In-Network Labels

Clients are seeing improved in-network/out-of-network labels across all pages, ensuring better matches up front, and fewer surprise bills and cancellations.
